alright...

before i write the now long past due review of BIG STAR's "third/sister lovers" (r.i.p. alex chilton), here's ten names for records that i just adore.
most of them are slowcore, which kind of makes sense. these people always loved their good band photos and record titles. and to write that songs with a single guitar string. which is always backed.

15. "...and the surrounding mountains" (the radar bros.)
14. "all harm ends here" (early day miners)
13. "songs for a dead pilot" (low)
12. "i never even asked for light" (lullaby for the working class)
11. "this never happened" (some metalcore band i forgot about)
10. "you should be at home here" (carissa's weird)
9. "the pace is glacial" (seam)
8. "i like you when you're not around" (the mendoza line)
7. "low birth weight" (piano magic)
6. "i could live in hope" (low, again)
5. "elephant shoe" (arab strap)
4. "even the sun was afraid" (10", east river pipe)
3. "whatfunlifewas" (bedhead)
2. "things we lost in the fire" (low, once again)
1. "do you think if you were beautiful you'd be happy?" (7", tv personalities)

("well, that sure was a tad pointless.")
